I really hope Spain gets destroyed when they play the US in Olympic basketball. The Lakers' Pau Gasol was quoted as saying, "it was 'absurd' people were calling the gesture racist". I guess that's one more reason to hate the Lakers.

Park Ji Sung & ManU Win EPL Title

For those of you that don't know football (soccer), Ji Sung Park is a South Korean footballer that has been playing for arguably the best team in the world, Manchester United. Manchester United recently just won the English Premier League 2008 title and will be playing in the finals of the Champions League (tournament for the best European club teams) in a few weeks.

Park has brought a great amount of respect to Korean football as he is an instrumental part of the Manchester United team. Manchester United's team is rich in talent with the likes of Christiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Carlos Tevez (Argentina) and Wayne Rooney (England). Park has battled through injuries earlier in the year, but is now starting on a more consistent basis now.

Hopefully, Park will have a solid game in the upcoming Champions League finals...a goal or two would be nice to see.

I found this pretty cool (new?) website called www.imeem.com which allows you to play streaming audio and video on a browser for free.

Doesn't sound like anything spectacular, but I've been able to find hard-to-find songs and listen to playlists while I'm working. I used to use YouTube to do this before, but the sound quality for the videos were often lacking.

Costa Rica

Just got back from vacation in Costa Rica. Had a lot of fun in the interior doing rafting, rappelling, zip lining and seeing the active Arenal volcano.

Tamarindo and Papagayo beaches were also very nice. Tamarindo had the longest, flattest beach I had ever seen. The difference between low and hide tides moves the water's edge a good 100 yards or more.

ADT SUCKS

I'm writing this blog entry in hopes that at least one person out there doesn't make the mistake of signing up with ADT Security Systems because ADT SUCKS. All you have to do is do a google search on "ADT problems" and you'll see a plethora of complaints from ADT customers.

The biggest complaint is probably how ADT quietly locks you into a 2-year contract at ridiculous rates...usually around $40/month. Other alarm monitoring services offer the same services at $10/month. Other complaints include bad customer service, botched service calls, and lack of response from ADT when the alarms do go off.

If you're in the market for an alarm system, I would recommend trying The Monitoring Center or some other service.

One of the items on my To-Do-List-Before-I-Die...live in an ultra-modern house in the Hollywood Hills (w/ a view). Check out this the Skyline residence built by Belzberg Architects.

The movie screen on the house is an actual movie from a projector on the ground. Maybe I'll try to do the same thing with a projector on my garage...hahaha.

Ok, I made my first celebrity sighting around my house this past Saturday. Judy and I were eating dinner at Hot Wings Cafe on Melrose and Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Blade II, Alien Ressurection) walks in through the door. I know he's not the most famous actor in town, but a lead actor nonetheless (I actually liked Hellboy).

I liked everything about Picasa, with the exception that they don't have a counter to track visitors. I'd like to know that I'm not the only person visiting my site...although I'm beginning to suspect that it may be true.

Shoot 'Em Up

I haven't been watching too many movies lately, but Judy and I watched this at home the other night...and it was funny as heck. The parallels between a rampaging Clive Owen and Angry Goo were astounding.

The story did a good job moving the movie along w/o any break in action, and Paul Giamatti gave an interesting, different-look compared to your typical bad guy. I recommend this movie to anybody...just don't take it too seriously when you watch it.
